Max's Restaurant

70 years of serving authentic Filipino food

For my report I went to a Filipino restaurant called Max's. Max's has been serving 70 years of authentic Filipino food. I went to Max's to enjoy some authentic Filipino food. When I went there I went with some friends and I tried some Chicken Chicharon, Sago't Gulaman and the famous desert called Halo-Halo. Chicken Chicharon is made out of chicken skin that was deep fried and it is great when you eat it freshly cooked and dipped it in vinegar. Sago't Gulaman is made out of brown sugar, gelatin and tapioca pearls. The famous desert called halo-halo is made out shaved ice, nata de coco, beans, leche flan, jackfruit, coconut, agar jelly, ube ice cream and evaporated milk and was served in a tall glass.

As I enter the restaurant I can feel that I was back home. They are playing Filipino music that made me feel that I was just back in the Philippines. The decorations are just like the Max's restaurant in the Philippines they have big fork and big spoons as a decoration and they have coconut shells as the "plate" decoration. I also saw that they have a statue of a " taho vendor " a person who sell taho that is made out of soft tofu and brown sugar with tapioca pearls.
